This page is the rulebook behind the listings and the monthly Deal Index. We aggregate publicly advertised dealer offers. We do not sell cars, and we do not collect shopper phone numbers to resell as leads. If a number on this site disagrees with the dealer page, the dealer page wins until we refresh.

What we extract
We store new-car lease and finance specials, used inventory selling prices with year and mileage, and dealership service coupons. Every surviving card keeps a source URL to the dealer page we read. We do not invent payments, MSRP, or discounts the dealer did not publish.
New-car rows come from specials pages and franchise inventory feeds when those feeds are public. Used rows come from used/CPO inventory search pages. Service rows come from coupon and service-specials HTML.
Dealer.com / CDK, Dealer Inspire, DealerOn, and Sincro sites have structured adapters. Other rooftops use the extraction pipeline. Both paths still have to pass the same quality filters.
Refresh cadence
Listings are not scraped on every page view. An operator runs extraction against roster URLs. Between runs, cars sell and factory programs expire. Treat the site as a current catalog of advertised offers, not a live ticker of every VIN in America.
When a dealer prints an expiration date we can parse, we hide the row after that date. Many pages omit dates; those offers stay until the next extract finds them gone.
The Deal Index “as of” date is the day you loaded the Index, using the live catalog at that moment. Monthly archive URLs keep the YYYY-MM stamp for citation.
Quality rules
New-car extracts drop used/CPO units, mileage over 500, and model years older than current minus two. Used extracts require a selling price we can parse. We do not fabricate compare-at MSRP to create a savings badge. Always confirm every advertised number on the dealer source page before you travel.
Lease versus buy is inferred from payment size versus MSRP when the dealer does not label the offer. That can be wrong on oddball ads. Open the source link.
Junk titles, missing makes, and payments that look like sticker prices are filtered. Remaining errors are parse mistakes — report them.
What the Deal Index measures
The Index counts live listings on iwantcardeals.com and summarizes advertised new-lease payments in a sample of current new-car cards. Median, average, and “leases under $300” are catalog statistics, not DMV transaction medians or a national CPI for cars. Always confirm every advertised number on the dealer source page before you travel.
Sample size is the number of new cards in the Index sample with a payment we treat as a lease (roughly $99–$1,999/month, not a cash price). If sample size is small, do not over-read the median.
Make tables are listing counts, not market share of sales. A brand with many tracked rooftops will outrank a brand we barely cover.
How to report a stale or wrong deal
Email info@iwantcardeals.com with the iwantcardeals.com listing URL and the dealer source URL. Add a screenshot if the dealer page already changed. We use that to fix the rooftop mapping, not to collect your phone number for a salesperson. Always confirm every advertised number on the dealer source page before you travel.
Please do not send driver’s licenses, credit apps, or VINs you are not comfortable putting in email. A pair of URLs is enough.
We cannot force a dealer to honor an expired internet price. Reporting helps our catalog; it does not create a contract.
What we will not claim
We will not claim every U.S. dealer is covered, that a payment is guaranteed at your credit tier, or that advertised savings equal cash in your pocket. Coverage is the roster we have crawled. Eligibility is the dealer’s. Always confirm every advertised number on the dealer source page before you travel.
Shopper accounts and saved deals are for browsing. They are not a lead form we sell to rooftops.
The methodology will change when extraction cadence or sample rules change. The date on this page is the date the copy was last edited.

- Why is my city missing dealers I know?
- They are not on the tracked roster yet, the site blocked extraction, or the last run found no parseable offers. Coverage is not a census of every franchise in the metro.
